CIRSA in the Dominican Republic Delivers Donation to St. Jude Foundation, Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo, Wednesday, August 24, 2023. CIRSA in the Dominican Republic delivered a donation of RD$220,328.28 to the St. Jude Foundation in Santo Domingo. The delivery was led by Wendelyn Issa, Commercial & MKT Director.

The amount raised goes towards treatments for patients aged 0 to 16 diagnosed with childhood cancer, considering that they come from families who do not have the financial resources to cover the cost of their illness. Among the contributions made are:

• Provide guidance and information to parents and family members about the illness affecting their relative.
• Facilitate 100% of the cost of diagnostic tests (laboratory or specialized) and medical treatment (chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy).
• Contribute to the timely location of blood or its derivatives when indicated by the treating physician.
• Provide psychological, emotional, and spiritual support to the child and their family during critical moments of the illness.
• Serve as a channel for assistance with international institutions for analyses, studies, and treatments that cannot be performed locally.
